i guess i will still complain.  a 20G cache asks for 655360 files.
that's quite a bit of kernel memory.  it did work though.  just
like the chunksize varies based on cachesize, perhaps number of
files could vary based on cachesize as well.

i would hope people with very large caches are hoping to store largish
files instead of lots and lots of very tiny files.
