[OpenAFS-devel] Ok to mix 1.3.77 servers with 1.2.11 servers in same cell?

Hi List-

I've been running a single OAFS server (v1.2.11) on Linux kernel 2.4
with no problems for a long time, and I've just added a server running
Linux kernel 2.6 to the network and am now considering having this
server run OAFS v1.3.77 server software in the same cell to help share
the load with the single OAFS 1.2.11 server.

Is this a safe thing to attempt or should I not try it?  I've been using
OAFS 1.3.77 client software on a ppc running Linux kernel 2.6 and have
had no problems to speak of yet.  I realize that 1.3.77 is still
developmental code, and I don't mind that too much, but if I can expect
major problems to arise as a result of mixing 1.2.11 and 1.3.77 server
software in a single cell then I'd rather not go to the effort just now.

I'd appreciate any thoughts on the advisability of this.
