Note that the openafs-client works fine if I force the install using
the "--nodeps" flag on the rpm command line:

# rpm --nodeps -Uhv
/usr/src/redhat/RPMS/i686/openafs-kernel-smp-1.4.4-2.6.20_1.2307.fc5smp_2.i686.rpm
Preparing...                [100%]
   1:openafs-kernel-smp     [100%]
# /etc/init.d/openafs-client start
Updating CellServDB:
Updating SuidCells:
Starting openafs-client: afsd: All AFS daemons started.
