Done. Resubmitted the patch, the original one didn't fix the issue
after a reconfig.. *ducks* I ifdef'd out for sun56 and above. Im not sure
about 5.6 or 5.7 whether they have the res_ninit and res_nsearch or not
5.8 does. I don't have any 5.6 or 5.7 machines. It is a bind 8.2.2
issue so It might actually be less platform specfic. I just forgot what
version of bind 5.6 and 5.7 have. That might need to be changed..  or
maybe probe for res_ninit and res_nsearch during configure.. I don't know.

I meant Im not sure what controller is in the machine(s) I'm using.  :)
But i did have similar issues. It just took patience to get through the
boot to the install. And patience to get through the boot after the
install, once patched, they run just fine.
