As part of the continuing series of AFS Hackathons, the School of
Informatics at the University of Edinburgh will be hosting an AFS
Hackathon on the 22-24 September 2009. All those involved in AFS
development and standardisation are invited to attend, but please note
that spaces are limited, and early replies appreciated!
The aim of this years event is to provide the opportunity for face to
face discussion about future AFS development and standarisation
activity. In order to make the most of our limited face to face time,
the intention is to a have a rough timetable of discussion topics,
along with people who are responsible both for introducing the topic,
and for recording any conclusions reached. Time will be scheduled
following the discussion to permit follow up investigation, write
code, produce documents, etc.
To aid with this, attendees are requested to indicate topics that they
would be interested in discussing, and whether they would be prepared
to introduce that topic. Potential topics include, but are not limited
to, the AFS RPC refresh, rxosd specification and integration, and next
generation security technologies such as rxgk and rxk5.
If you are interested in attending please RSVP to sxw@inf.ed.ac.uk,
indicating topics which are of interest to you. Please feel free to
forward this message to other people, and lists, which I've missed!
Cheers,
Simon.
