Salvaging all the volumes that weren't in use and hence didn't need to be
salvaged, which is one of the things that DAFS fixes.

We believe it actually works now in master (or with patches pending in
Gerrit, but I think they're all in now).  I think there was an additional
fix that went in after the last 1.5 release that fixes the problem that we
were discussing at the workshop.
