[OpenAFS-devel] Building with --enable-checking

Folks,

I am having some difficulty getting "configure --enable-checking" to work.  

I am running from the current HEAD but when I build I am flooded with
warnings, so I am pretty convinced that I've missed the magical
configuration step to turn on the suppression of warnings in some
directories...

I've googled around and had a trawl through the archives to no immediate
avail; so what am I missing?
