The remaining changes foreseen for 1.6.12pre2 (and likely 1.6.12 final) =
became available shortly before the meeting which should allow issuing =
the second prerelease soon. [all were merged since, pre2 ETA is =
"r.s.n."]

=3D=3D 1.8 =3D=3D

The new softsig implementation in opr was merged by Daria. This should =
pave the way for the log rotation changes ( =
http://gerrit.openafs.org/#q,status:open+project:openafs+branch:master+top=
ic:externalize-log-rotation,n,z ). And all code using softsig should be =
converted to use the new implementation instead of the old one in util.

Ben reminds that some changes are needed to make builds succeed on the =
current Ubuntu LTS. [new patch sets now available in =
