For what it's worth:  I see very little spam on the OpenAFS mailing
lists.  I certainly see more spam on other computer-related mailing
lists that I am on.  (although I'd also say that most of those lists
do a pretty good job of filtering out spam, but some spam still gets
through).

I'll also say that there is an email address that I used only two
or three times, and all of those were to report bugs to the FreeBSD
project.  That account never got any spam until after the bugs were
reported, and after that got a lot of spam.  But the spam was not
coming *from* the bug-tracker site.  Some spammer picked up the
address from the site, and then added that address to the long list
of spam addresses that they were already sending to.
