OpenAFS release team weekly meeting

OpenAFS 1.8.1 was released this week. Thank you to everyone that helped make
this release happen.

The fix was merged in Linux mainline to fix the unintended GPL-only of
put_page(), in time for the 4.18 release.
(commit mm: fix exports that inadvertently make put_page() EXPORT_SYMBOL_GPL)


1.6.x stable series
===================

Stephan has built a test precursor of 1.6.23pre1. Gerrits applied on to the
current HEAD of 1_6_x:

Other possible backport candidates:

13050 rx: pass serial number to rxi_SendRawAbort
13051 rx: connection aborts send serial zero when no conn available

Inclusion of 13268 should fix daily linux-rc builders for 1.6.x.

Linux 4.18 is due to be released on Sunday, so a 1.6.22.4 release
with 13268 may be needed.


1.8.x series
============

Since linux 4.18 is expected to release soon, an OpneAFS 1.8.1.1
may be warranted.

Commit of interest for 1.8.x, fixes a crash on solaris sparc:
