[OpenAFS] [Q] Problem running afs-newvol - "fs: You don't have the required access rights on '/afs'"

Hi.  openafs-ptutil is no longer needed; it is merged into
openafs-dbserver as of version 1.0.2-1.


The problem is almost certainly admin not being in system:administrators.  Can I get you to 

* purge the openafs packages (particularly openafs-fileserver and openafs-dbserver)
* remove /etc/openafs and /var/lib/openafs
* newfs /vicepa

* reinstall openafs, reset up the keyfile
* give a transcript of your afs-newcell run
