  We are successfully using the smaller Spectra Logic Treefrog boxes in
  three occasions (on Linux, Solaris, Tru 64) for AFS backup (we actually
  use anything ranging from DLT4000/SCSI-1 through LTO Fibre Channel).  
  You only have to make sure that you've got a media changer command-line
  interface to drive any existing autoloader.
