I did compile on a 32-bit system (i.e. on the SS20) and now I even
compiled 1.0.2 sources on a 64-bit machine (Ultra10/Solaris 8) but to
no success (same behaviour like before). 

Perhaps you could put your changed sources on the ftp-server? I could
try to compile them on different machine/OS-versions. Unfortunately,
I'm out of the institute until tuesday so it would take some time...
