[OpenAFS] why not make afs an IFS?

Here's a rotten thing about afs on windoze, using mickeysoft offfice.

If you want to create a hyperlink from one office doc to another, office
uses a unc for the link if its on a network drive.  Now on windoze1 the
unc becomes

\\windoze1-afs\bobshome

Now user mary on windoze2 opens the file and attempts to use the link in
the document..  however, the afs redirector on that machine uses the unc

\\windowz2-afs\maryshome

Get the picture.  All hyperlinks will fail becuase a unc isn't..  because
afs does use a universally available name.

Any chance in the near future of getting afs to be an ifs on windoze ? or
is there some other fix?
