I am using OpenAFS 1.2.2b under Windows XP and I cannot open an AFS =
share in Explorer from the run dialog, or from a cmd.exe window. When I =
try to open an AFS share (either with =
Start->Run->\\%computername%-afs\root or with cmd.exe->start =
\\%computername%-afs\root), it eventually gives me the following error: =
"This file does not have a program associated with it for performing =
this action. Create an association in the Folder Options control panel." =
If I try to open an Explorer window to a subdirectory of an AFS share, =
it works without any problems (start \\%computername%-afs\root\mycell). =
In fact, I can use the explorer window to go up one level to get to the =
AFS share folder.
Other methods for accessing an AFS share folder seem to work without any =
problems.
Has anyone else seen this problem, or have any ideas on how it might be =
fixed?
