[OpenAFS] AIX v3fshelper

I have seen the statement on the IBM developerworks
site(http://oss.software.ibm.com/developerworks/opensource/afs/downloads.html)
saying that "no fsck available on AIX or Solaris platforms".  In the
past I have witnessed the havoc that regular AIX fsck can wreak on an
AFS partition.  Should I be running a namei fileserver to avoid
problems?  Otherwise, how can I guarantee that fsck won't destroy my
partitions?

What are other people doing?  Is this even an issue?  Is there any
work being done on a v3fshelper in OpenAFS?
