[OpenAFS] vos release

Hi,

with vos release all the read-only replicas of one volume are updated.
But what happens, when one or more of the targeted file-servers are
unreachable?
I have a really long time-out and the volume remains locked in the vldb.
My questions are:

- how can i change the time-out time?
- is afs testing automatically, if these dead file servers are online again
  and syncs the replikas automiatically? or do i have to try it again and
  again?
- so will the lock in the vldb be released automatically?
