[OpenAFS] Qmail over AFS

I'm currently trying to get Qmail to deliver messages to users' homedirs 
that are on AFS.  I'm running into one problem, however, in that qmail 
requires that the users' directories not be world-writeable, which is 
not a problem, except that qmail doesn't understand AFS ACL's.  I tried 
doing a standard chmod on the homedir, and it is showing as not being 
world-writeable, but qmail is still complaining.  Any ideas on what is 
going on?  Thanks in advance.
