[OpenAFS] File server allegedly unavailable

I have changed one line in /etc/network/interfaces: the address line.

There is no firewall.  There is no duplicate IP address.  The netmask
and broadcast address are unchanged.

Surely the problem is this: why does openafs software think a server is
'unavailable' when it plainly isn't?  The message comes from
venus/fs.c at line 1675.
