[OpenAFS] CopyOnWrite Bug Status

Hello,

Aside from my Solaris issues at the moment, could anyone give me some 
status clarification on the CopyOnWrite bug affecting Linux?

1) Is it still thought to be true that it only effects non-replicated 
volumes that have a .backup?

2) Can one safely use Linux with OpenAFS if you only plan to use read-only 
replicated volumes and not do not plan to back up volumes (i.e. vos backupsys)?

3) Does the CopyOnWrite bug still exist? (In the stable, unstable, and cvs 
releases)
