I've been getting an AFS backup plan together, utilizing the AFS backup =
utilities. From the IBM AFS Admin guide, I read the backup process =
should only write volumes labeled *.backup (created by vos backupsys) to =
tape. Now, while starting to dive into the restore process, the guide =
states the volumes to be restored will be the same as the ones listed in =
a 'volset'. My question is, can a read-write volume be created from a =
.backup volume or should I back up read write volumes as well as .backup =
volumes? (which is kind of redundant, no?)
Thanks,
Mike
