you may consider our afsclient RPMs (OpenAFS 1.2.3) inside

          /afs/caspur.it/project/openafs/

They work with these Red Hat 7.2 stock kernels:

          2.4.9-21 and 2.4.9-31, SP/MP, 586/686/athlon
