[OpenAFS] wierd server install error

I'm attempting to install this on a RedHat 7.2 box, pretty vanilla with 
2.4.18 and I installed it all (except the kernel module) from the rpms. 
I used to build afs from source, but the last time I did this the rpms 
worked fine. Sorry I forgot to mention these details before.
