Note that if your no servers in your home cell can be contacted, and if
afsd was not run with the -fakeroot switch, it's not possible to shut it
down at all, either because umount() fails with ETIMEDOUT, or because the
mount never succeeded in the first place (afs_read_super fails unless it
can get a stat'd vcache for the afs root)
