Do you mean hardware or software??? Hardware is intel P2 motherboard with
raid5 and multicpu support (although only 1 cpu is currently installed).
Software is Suse Linux 8.0 with 2.4.18-4GB kernel.

I'll try to remove the old volume and create a new one.

What kind of machine is "wallace"?

You probably need to recreate root.afs and root.cell, but a better
question is: what happened to the copy that you created already?
