Hi, I'm setting an OpenAFS Kerberos system in one of my universty's computers
laboratories. I'm migrating the existing users and I've found an important
problem: the users with usernames longer/equal than 10 characters won't login.
However I can login as another user and do the "kinit longusername" "aklog"
sequence normally, obtaining the krb credencials and the afs tokens.
Do you know what the problem might be? I haven't found info about usernames
restrictions, just the 22 char volumename restriction, but even then, with a 10
chars username I'm below that limit.
Can it be a pam issue?? if I do "su longusername" I get "wrong password", even
if I'm logged as root.
Thanks a lot.
