I'm trying to develop a MicroFiler solution during my training period. I
would like to know if the performances are ok.
I'm using two fujitsu Bi Xeon 1800, 512Mo, 2 raid 1 scsi disks. They're
linked on a 100Mb network.
This is my bench results:
-------Sequential Output-------- ---Sequential Input---
--Random--
-Per Char- --Block--- -Rewrite-- -Per Char- --Block---
--Seeks---
Machine MB K/sec %CPU K/sec %CPU K/sec %CPU K/sec %CPU K/sec %CPU
K/sec %CPU
10 5778 27.1 7763 3.8 7674 4.5 20455 99.9 1159289 113.2
3164.9 15.8
50 5815 32.1 7826 10.1 7672 11.5 20822 100.0 1169697 114.2
1479.7 9.2
100 5490 33.6 7125 14.3 7030 14.6 20331 99.7 1117294 98.2
3169.1 15.8
Here, we're using a Net Appliance Filer Solution based on NFS.
This is the results of this filer
-------Sequential Output-------- ---Sequential Input--

94607.4 307.5
I don't want to get the same results as the NetAp Solution, but i want to
know if i get the best result that Open AFS could give me.
