[OpenAFS] OpenAFS / LDAP

This was an interesting thread from a while back. I really wanted to  
goto the AFS workshop back last month in San Antonio, but didn't get  
the chance.
Has there been any further developments out there with an ldap  
backended ptserver, or at least a way to publish data stored in ldap to  
the ptserver?
Account synchronization appeared to be the way it was headed back then,  
I'd be happy with that except that I currently you can't specify UID's  
for cross-realm users.
