I am. In fact it was 3 a few days ago. But following an example given on this
list, i tried to change the kvno. Anyway, asetkey works with no problem. Is
the kvno so important ?

Ok, i didn't set it up. It is 1 now ;)

I did /etc/init.d/openafs-client start. Apart messages telling that modules
will "taint" kernel license, no problem.
But, ps aux does not give me any client. What is supposed to be its name ?

bosserver, ptserver, vlserver, fileserver and suppoedly volsever. But on this
last i have a doubt :
$ ps aux
root 2499 S 16:35 0:00 bosserver -noauth
root 2554 S 16:44 0:00 /usr/lib/openafs/ptserver
root 2555 S 16:44 0:00 /usr/lib/openafs/vlserver
root 2575 S< 16:48 0:00 /usr/lib/openafs/fileserver
root 2576 S 16:48 0:00 /usr/lib/openafs/volserver
root 2577 S< 16:48 0:00 /usr/lib/openafs/fileserver
root 2578 S< 16:48 0:00 /usr/lib/openafs/fileserver
root 2579 S< 16:48 0:00 /usr/lib/openafs/fileserver
But netstat gives me nothing on port 7005.
Is it serious, doctor ? ;)

Like volserver ?

Cf above. But what can be the problem ?
Here comes some logs :

--- VLLog
Tue Jul 8 16:44:06 2003 Starting AFS vlserver 4 (/usr/lib/openafs/vlserver)
Seems the only one without error messages ;)
Anyway, aklog message changed after a full killing of processes (except afsd
which do not want to ... )
aklog: unable to obtain tokens for cell eleves.efrei.fr (status: Cache Manager
is not initialized / afsd is not running).
Seems better.
TIA
