Hello,
This is my first post to the list and new to openafs. Ihave been having
some dificult times trying to compile my Debian GNU/Linux openAFS kernel
for the powerpc.
I have installed the openAFS packages accordingly and started setting up
the cell name and such.. I bought the book "Managing AFS" by Richard
Campbell and read many of the docs on the openAFS website and still
can't to get a kernel compile for the server. I have been trying
everything i know and everything comes out short.
The System:
Apple Xserv (1st eddition)
Running Debian GNU/Linux Powerpc unstable version
Running XFS sucessfully (patched it into a working 2.4.20 kernel)
openafs kernel modules installed in /usr/src/modules/openafs
Every time I do ./configure in the /usr/src/modules/openafs directory I
get:
-bash: ./configure: Permission denied
This is very strange because I can configure and compile other source
files without any dificulty.
Is there anyone on the list who can help shed more light onto my
delima? I have been racking my brains on every thing there is to do to
get the system up and running.
Thank you in advance,
-Adam
