I don't generally run from CVS, but I *am* running 1.2.9 with your 
umount.diff patch on *clients*.  We are experiencing no AFS-related 
problems at the moment.  If that's the same as whats in the current 
openafs-stable-1_2_x CVS branch (possibly w/o the debugging output) 
then it should be fine.

I still don't have any *servers* running 1.2.8--they're still running 
1.2.9.  (No particular reason--just have been working on other things.)
