Hi,=20
I'm new to openafs, and I wanted to install a client-server system in my =
UML box (openafs-1.2.10a-src.tar.gz, linux-2.4.20.tar.gz, =
uml-patch-2.4.20-8, user_mode_linux-2.4.19.5um-0.i386.rpm).=20
/usr/src/linux is linked to the source tree and ./configure, make and =
make install run fine.=20
I have also installed openafs-client-1.2.10-rh8.0.1.i386.rpm and =
openafs-server-1.2.10-rh8.0.1.i386.rpm (I hope, that's right, that I =
need them, when I also installed openafs-1.2.10a-src.tar.gz ..?)
When trying to start it I get this error message:
[root@redhat80 progs]# /etc/rc.d/init.d/afs start
Failed to load AFS client, not starting AFS services.
When trying to load the kernel module manually, I get:=20
[root@redhat80 progs]# insmod /usr/vice/etc/modload/libafs-2.4.20-8um.o=20
/usr/vice/etc/modload/libafs-2.4.20-8um.o: unresolved symbol =
__virt_to_page
/usr/vice/etc/modload/libafs-2.4.20-8um.o: unresolved symbol to_virt
/usr/vice/etc/modload/libafs-2.4.20-8um.o:=20
Hint: You are trying to load a module without a GPL compatible license
and it has unresolved symbols. Contact the module supplier for
assistance, only they can help you.
Does that mean that the UML support of openafs does not comprise my =
configuration?
Thanks very much for help.
cheers,
