[OpenAFS] Installation problems on Windows 2000 Server

Hi,
I'm having a nightmare trying to get OpenAFS 1.2.10 to install on Windows
2000 Server. I'll followed the instructions online and in the *ahem* help
file. My configuration fails with the message:
"Error: timed out waiting for the AFS bosserver control service to start or
stop (0x00004634)"
Manually starting the service returns "service-specific error code 2".
Extensive googling hasn't revealed any meaningful information... Anyone on
here have a clue??
