[OpenAFS] bos shutdown invalid pointer errors on RH3.0

Hi

We have just installed some redhat 3.0 AS update3 servers and are trying 
to setup openafs 1.2.13 on them. All seems OK except the following

 > /usr/bin/bos shutdown -instance fs -server localhost -local
  free(): invalid pointer 0xb7402010!

kernel is 2.4.21-20.ELsmp


I have found several posts about similar errors but what I can;t really 
find an answer as to if I should worry. Should I just build the rpms 
from the src rpm or just ignore it?
