Hi Derek,

ok, but the problem starts immediately after I installed the rpm's.

when I start the bosserver I get this after a few secs:
root@neptune root]# /usr/afs/bin/bosserver -noauth &
[1] 21875
[root@neptune root]# bind: Address already in use
rxi_GetUDPSocket: bind failed
bind: Address already in use
rxi_GetUDPSocket: bind failed
bind: Address already in use
rxi_GetUDPSocket: bind failed

The CellServDB you mentioned looks like this :
>localcell      #Cell name
127.0.0.1    #neptune.csc.depauw.edu
