Mike,

I've been doing this a long time and generally forget something. I
therefore recommend:

http://www.openafs.org/pages/doc/QuickStartUnix/auqbg002.htm

After you finish the generic scripts, search for "Getting Started on Linux
Systems" for the Linux specific stuff.

Kim

  Subject: [OpenAFS] Newbie Question

  Hello all,
I'm trying to install OpenAFS version 1.2.11 on Fedora Core 1 and am
having some problems setting it up which the install doc didn't address. I
unpack the source and run configure, make and make install with no errors.
However the doc doesn't say what the next step should be, it just talks
about starting the bosserver which I tried to do but is giving me an error
"Problem with /usr/local/var/logs/openafs Server Directory access is okay"

I'm assuming I'm missing a step in order to complete the configuration,
can anyone lend any advice or more thorough documentation so I can set this
up and begin testing it out.

  Thanks in advance,
  Mike
