[OpenAFS] butc 2gb limit

Hello,

I am trying to dump volumes into a dumpfile using butc and
backup dump <volumeset>, using linux kernel 2.4.25, ext3 and
openafs 1.2.8.

The problem is already described in the openafs-list: every time
the backup file hits 2GB butc prompts to replace the tape.
The problem is _not_ a 2GB limit in ext2/ext3, I can create files
with 4GB and more on the same local disk; it is a limitation in
openafs 1.2 itself. What can I do?

It is possible to redirect the output of the backup dump command;
like the output of vos dump? Or is it possible to simulate a tape
on the disk? Other ideas?

Thanks for help.

Heiko
