Hi Christian,

I think that my problem was that there was "stuff" that was created by the 
1.2.11 version (and that one wasn't running correctly.)

I cleaned everything "afs" up, /usr/afs, /usr/vice the "config files" and delete 
everything on /vicepa, vicepb, vicepc and vicepd.

Then I installed the 1.2.13 rpm's and it looks like that might work better.

thanks for the tip though, I am a rookie when it comes to afs so any thing 
worthwhile rememberring is appreciated.
