I'm in the process of setting up a test OpenAFS cell on a set of RHEL4
(well actually CentOS but you get the picture) opteron boxes. I'm doing
this the simplest way using kaserver rather than a separate Kerberos
server.

I've managed to get a server running so that locally I can=20

klog admin

and get access to the volumes /afs/.wesc.cs.cf.ac.uk and write things to
it.

CellServDB looks like:
>wesc.cs.cf.ac.uk #Cell name
131.251.128.102 #sprite-comsc

ThisCell looks like:
wesc.cs.cf.ac.uk

So I set up a client machine using that same information.

I can do
klog admin=20

and get a valid token so talking to kaserver seems to be working. But if
I cd into /afs/.wesc.cs/cf.ac.uk I get no such file or directory.=20

In the logs I noticed:
afs: Lost contact with file server 127.0.0.1 in cell wesc.cs.cf.ac.uk
afs: Lost contact with file server 127.0.0.1 in cell wesc.cs.cf.ac.uk

which seems odd since CellServDB is definitely set to the correct
server.

Is there something obvious I'm missing?

Thanks,
Huw=20
