i am trying (and failing) to set a new encryption key for the server.

i did:

kadmin.local: ktadd
asetkey
bos addkey

the documentation says that the password has to be set also in the afs auth=
entication database.

the bos addkey asks to supply a password (which i did), the question is how=
 do i do
the equivalent of "kas setpassword" (i.e. how do i add the password to the =
Authentication Database
if the kaserver is not used here)?=20

the client cannot access the /afs after kinit and aklog (permission denied)=
 - the client
runs on the same machine as the server.

this is openafs 1.2.11 file server on debian woody.

vlad

ps: i read the documentation on the "handling server encryption key emergen=
cies" + googled but
still cannot work this out :-(
