Its hard to imagine how that error can be produced. However, what it
means is that by the time the NCB was processed there was no valid
Virtual Circuit associated with it. More than likely the VC was torn
down because the client timed out. It won't adversely affect the
client behavior.
btw, I would push the CIFS timeout value to 90 seconds.
If you continue to see these warnings and errors, you will need to
try and figure out why there is a long delay associated with the
processing of the CIFS requests. There is a max limit of 63
simultaneous requests. Are you exceeding that? Or is the server
periodically not responding in a timely manner?
