[OpenAFS] afs login and SL42 SL43

     Dear All,
	I have three AFS servers. they are installed with SL42

[root@afs1 ~]# uname -a
Linux afs1.hep.man.ac.uk 2.6.9-22.0.1.EL #1 Thu Oct 27 10:38:16 CDT 2005 
i686 athlon i386 GNU/Linux
[root@afs1 ~]#

 I am still running kerberos 4. for login

 I can not login to the servers as an AFS users nor I can login to 
 to the new clients which installed with SL43 as an afs user.
 
 I have the following in my /etc/pam.d/system-auth

 auth sufficient /lib/security/pam_afs.so try_first_pass ignore_root

 which allowed me and all the users to login with our afs username
 and passwd from SL3 client machine but not SL42 or SL43 clients
 machines

 I shall be very grateful if anyone could help please
