The server works fine -- you might have to frotzle a bit with sysnames
and stuff, but it is so trivial that even I can do it, after Harald led
the way. I have experience running the server programs on FreeBSD 4/5/6
-- and I expect 7 to be no different, just better.

Some day I'll figure out what we did and send patches. Or we already 
did send them?

solaris 10 with zfs for /vicep**  is my combo of choice. Very stable,
binaries available, the best file system in the business, and the price
is right.
