One of my users sent me the following message. As I'm not a Mac user,
and as he's not on this mailing list, I forward it without comment.

For a while now, I've been running OpenAFS on two Mac laptops. One
had v1.5.15 with the other using v1.5.26, both of which a a bit old now.

I decided to take the plunge and update them to the latest v1.5.38,
and although the disk image mounted OK and the software appeared to
install OK I had a problem with the 'fs' command which wasn't an
executable.

Over the weekend I grabbed all the versions of OpenAFS from the two
that I knew would work v1.5.15/v1.5.26 through to v1.5.38 and
starting at the latest and working back tried each version.

I eventually settled on v1.5.34 as the latest that would work and had
a 'fs' command that would execute OK.

	v1.5.38
	v1.5.37
	v1.5.35

all had 'fs' commands that wouldn't execute..

The disk image for

	v1.5.36

would not open.

I grabbed the v1.5.38 sources and it compiled up OK on my Tiger
laptop, and the 'fs' command was an executable.

This reinforced my suspicions that the later disk images from
versions v1.5.35 onwards may have been compiled on a Leopard system
for a Tiger target rather than on a Tiger system itself.

Bye for now, John
