I am in the process of adding new servers to my cell as I want to retire
the old one. The old server is running IAX with AFS 3.6, the new
servers are running Scientific Linux 4.6 with OpenAFS 1.4.6-58. So far
all has gone well up to the point when I start the database server
processes when I get the following message in PtLog, VLLog etc:
Wed Nov 12 14:17:23 2008 Using 130.246.AAA.AAA as my primary address
Wed Nov 12 14:17:23 2008 Inconsistent Cell Info on server: Wed Nov 12
14:17:23 2008 130.246.BBB.BBB Wed Nov 12 14:17:23 2008
where 130.246.AAA.AAA is the address of the new server, and
130.246.BBB.BBB is the address of the old server. I have looked on
Google for clues and it has something to do with the differences between
the /usr/afs/etc/CellServDB and /usr/vice/etc/CellServDB on both
systems. However as far as I can tell they are now identical. Can
anyone suggest where I should look? Note that I get similar messages on
the old server as well
The BosLog file on the new server has messages like this:
Wed Nov 12 14:17:09 2008: kaserver exited with code 2
Wed Nov 12 14:17:09 2008: ptserver exited with code 2
Wed Nov 12 14:17:09 2008: vlserver exited with code 2
Wed Nov 12 14:17:23 2008: kaserver exited with code 2
Wed Nov 12 14:17:23 2008: ptserver exited with code 2
Wed Nov 12 14:17:23 2008: vlserver exited with code 2
