[OpenAFS] questions about volume size?

dear armin,

it looks like if i do salvage, afs server will shutdown for while. is
it correct?

[root@fs vicepc]# bos salvage -server fs -partition c
bos: shutting down fs.
Starting salvage.
bos: waiting for salvage to complete.

another question, is salvage better then zap? please tell me. thank you.
