My guess would be periodically throwing kvno errors and periodically not
serving requests, according to what this thread has said. The "not
reliably reproducible" kind of brokenness.

I do think this can be solved by just removing the 'M ' in NetRetsrict
on the new server, by the way.

That wouldn't cause these errors to just appear after the server's been
running for awhile, and go away on restart.
