I found a posting from 27 Mar 2007 where Miles Davis of Stanford wrote th=

he had written a version of volid.pl with the vnode bits and said it was
available here:

Unfortunately our Cyber folks have decided to block all outgoing AFS traf=
fic
from our site, so I can't get to it - any chance someone could send it to=
 me?
Otherwise I may install AFS on my home computer try to get it tonight.
