The Windows client ignores the IP address unless the hostname cannot be
resolved.

The AFS servers and the Unix client always use the IP address.

There is no requirement that a reverse lookup match.  However, you will
probably want them to so that the fs and vos commands can display an IP
address that is consistent with those in the CellServDB file.
