On a tangent... do distribute the OpenAFS client RPMs this way? And
if so, how do you bootstrap this process?
At work I have our yum repo in AFS, but I serve the metadata and RPMs
out with Apache, because HTTP is the lowest common denominator for
getting packages out to new machines across the organization. I'm sure
the choice is very environment-specific, and from the sound of it you
have much more direct control over all your AFS clients.
